Kate Partington Vol.ii
‘In these collages, I wanted to explore the female form as it moves through the seasons— like snapshots of a moment that’s here and gone. There’s something about femininity that feels both grounded and fleeting, like a familiar face in a passing crowd. I played with layering both digitally and analogue to capture this vibe, aiming for a sense of beauty that feels close but hard to pin down. Each piece hints at the strength and softness of these moments, always shifting, always a little out of reach.’
As a collage and visual artist, Kate Partington works across physical, digital, and video mediums, blending analogue and digital techniques to explore their intersections. Her work centres around the broad theme of the human condition often zooming in on themes of touch, intimacy and femininity; delving into the subtle connections that form effortlessly between people. Through layers of texture and form, Kate Partington’s work invites viewers to consider the depth and warmth of connection in a world increasingly defined by screens.'
